Popular television special now available as free, universal app

INDIANAPOLIS (8/25/10) – Scott Houston, the Emmy award-winning host of the popular public television series The Piano Guy, has released his newest mobile application, Play Piano In A Flash!, for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Through his hit television special Play Piano In A Flash!, Scott has taught thousands of viewers throughout the country how to play non-classical piano with his simple and easy-to-follow technique. As the only educational piano-playing series currently on the market, Scott’s Play Piano In A Flash! and 1-on-1 apps are as close as you can get to taking private lessons from Scott himself. “This is for anyone who has ever said ‘I would LOVE to be able to simply sit down at a piano and have some fun playing a favorite song.’ With our app running on an iPad or iPhone right at a user’s piano or keyboard, that lifelong dream can now be realized!” said Houston. 

Play Piano In A Flash! contains more than one hour of content as well as access to the lead sheet (the special style of sheet music that professionals use) and chord charts. An in-app purchase will unlock another 1 hour and 20 minutes that progresses further to teach you how to “kick it up a notch” and sound even more like a pro.

In addition to the Play Piano In A Flash!, Scott has also created two mobile apps from his 1-on-1 series, including Amazing Grace and Silent Night. The apps are designed to teach beginners and those who cannot read music how to play piano like a seasoned professional. Starting at the beginning level, Scott takes the user chapter-by-chapter through the process of music-making, allowing the user to go at their own pace.
