Mills James’ Internship Program allows college students to obtain in-the-trenches work experience to prepare for careers in the creative media industry. Interns can gain practical production and business experience — and frequently school credit — through unpaid internships. We are now accepting applications for Summer. The following internship opportunities are available:
Field & Studio Production
Intern needed in our Field Production department to assist with our in-house and on-location television production and studio shoots. Intern applicants should be at least 18 years of age and willing to work full days around their school schedule; requires some evening and weekend availability.
Video & Broadcast
Intern needed to provide production assistance for our Video & Broadcast team. Applicants must have good oral and written communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office software and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Students pursuing a degree in broadcast or communications are preferred. To be considered for this internship, you must be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week (preferably full days).
Web & Interactive
Intern needed to work in our Web & Interactive team to assist with various interactive projects (i.e. design and development of websites, eLearning course work, kiosks, interactive games, mobile and web applications, digital publishing, motion graphics, and PowerPoint presentations). Applicants should be detail oriented with strong writing and oral communication skills. Strong design and/or development background is critical. Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week in a fast-paced environment.
Intern needed to work in our Marketing/Promotions department. Intern will assist our marketing staff with the preparation of promotional materials, internal and external communications, research, special events and special projects. Current college juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing are preferred. Candidates must be available 15-20 hours/week.
