Applications Developer

Department: Video & Interactive

Mills James is seeking freelance and part-time application developers who will collaborate with project managers, interactive designers, and clients to determine client needs. Developers will need to be able to complete all phases of development, including analysis, functionality, testing, and deployment. 

Skills/Qualifications/Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Possess E-commerce integration skills (such as creating shopping carts)
  • Maintain multiple development environments (Local, Dev/Test, Stage, Production)
  • Demonstrate working experience and deep understanding of custom and out-of-the-box Content Management Systems
  • Experience in Web development, programming, software development and/or systems integration, and knowledge of interactive design
  • Operating Systems: Windows 9x/NT/Win2k/WinXP, Windows Server NT/Win2k, Unix/Linux
  • Programming languages: ASP.Net 3.5, Classic ASP, C#, Web Services, SQL/T-SQL, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML, XML, XLST, PHP, CSS
  • Applications: Visual Studio .Net ‘08, Internet Information Server (IIS) 5+, Adobe Flash, Visual Source Safe, SubVersion, Visio, Photoshop, MS Access, MySQL, MS SQL Server ‘05
